In the spring of 2017, a Project Recover team set out on a mission to Papua New Guinea to map the seafloor in search of missing World War II aircraft and crew, conduct an official archaeological survey of a known B-25 bomber wreck, and interview elders in villages in the immediate area. This video highlights one of two B-25 bombers documented by Project Recover on the mission. This video features a B-25, which although a known wreck for decades, had not been officially documented in an archaeological capacity. The site is associated with missing in action from WWII.
