Fossil hunting in Sahara desert, Egypt. Did you know that Sahara Desert was once underwater? What we see today was once a seabed - that’s is why there are many rock and fossil records in the desert. Here it is a seashell fossil I found! Pretty good eh; The sea (back then) was known as Tethys (millions of years ago). But who is Tethys according to the Greek mythology?Tethys was a Titan daughter of Uranus and Gaia, a sister and wife of the Titan Oceanus, and the mother of the river gods and the Oceanids. Well, a bit complicated.
