This tiny crustacean is a type of Lybia crab that holds sea anemones in their claws as a defence system. This very specific feature gives them the name of pom-pom or boxer crabs 🥊

This is a very good example of #mutualism, as
⠀
✅ the sea anemones get carried around and are able to capture more food
⠀
✅ if provoked or attacked by a predator, the crab will threaten the aggressor weaving the anemones around. At first that looks more cute than dangerous but the sea anemones’ tentacles are armed with cnidocytes (stinging cells)! 😵
